A host of diseases that people suffer from can be prevented from occuring in the first place.

To achieve this, their possible causes (risk factors)  must be identified, and avoided.

Prevention of diseases is easy when our water, food, and environment are clean and safe. 

Clean Water Is A Basic Necessity


Pathogens such as Salmonella typhi, Entamoeba hystolytica, Vibro cholerae can march straight into your body through contaminated food and water. 

Water should be stored in closed containers away from lavatories.

You could connect a tap outlet to the storage cans to minimize dipping containers into the water and dropping microbes in the process each time there is need for water.

Remember to regularly wash the tap head to avoid cross-contamination.

Drink lots of water.

Water is the medium in which your  body processes (excretion, transport action) function.

Water keeps you hydrated and gives you beautiful skin. Aim at eight glasses a day. The more the better.

Protect Your Food, Enhance Your Diet


We eat food to obtain nourishment and ensure normal functioning of the body.

How bad can it be if food becomes a medium for disease causing organisms to enter our body? 

Proper preparation, preservation and storage of food is the key to food safety and hygiene.

Avoid close contact between raw food and cooked food. 

Make sure food is well cooked. Raw food contains elements of pesticides, Salmonella and even topics that can be harmful to the body when ingested.

Cooking well ensures that food is fit for eating . 

The type of food you eat plays a fantastic role in your quest for better health.

Low carbohydrate diets, lots of fruits and green vegetables, are essential for a better health . 

Be Clean. Inside and Outside. 


Hand washing is a fundamental tool in the prevention of communicable diseases and infections.

Proper and timely washing of hands reduces the risk of the spread of pathogens. Wash  your hands this way. 

Your hair , skin, teeth and clothes should be treated like royalty . 

Your bedroom could affect your health in more ways than you know. The state of your kitchen and lavatories have a large impact on your health.

Pay a little more attention to them while cleaning your home. 

And what about your social relationship?

For optimal health, try to maintain a good working relationship with other people in your environment.

Bad blood between two people can cause trauma and depression. 

Remember to see a doctor if you eventually fall sick. Self medication is really bad. 

Dont forget to exercise regularly. Take a long walk, breathe fresh air.  Work out those kinks in your back. Enjoy being healthy.
